Wedding 2021 - These are the wedding dress trends

The question of the perfect wedding dress can only be answered individually. The options are as varied as the brides themselves. Nevertheless, every year there are very specific trends that influence the collections. We asked around and found some inspiring trends for next year.

1. The conservation of resources and the idea of sustainability are high on the agenda. This is also reflected in the bridal fashion. Whereas in the past a lot of money was invested just to stow the dress away in the closet for good after the wedding, today there is a desire for wearable bridal fashion that is suitable for everyday use. The outfits become more simple and are fun to wear on other occasions. High skirts with lace top, white summer dresses or jumpsuits are among the favorites.
2. The retro trend will continue in 2021. There is a demand for genuine tailoring as in grandmother’s day, with the emphasis on details that have long been considered “oldschool”. Beautiful arm parts, for example, like plain, but also with organza or trumpet sleeves. Very popular is and remains also lace, which can be found, for example, in the Soho style, that is, the inclusion of stylish “bohemian” details from the 19th century.
3. Instead of hiding under 100 layers of frills, today’s bride likes to show skin. With a neckline in the front you draw the eye just as with a deep back neckline. Thereby, the back neckline can be found on classic A-line dresses as well as mermaid and empire line dresses. In addition, dresses with so-called cut-outs are increasingly becoming favorites. Holes are left open in the fabric in attractive places on the body and underlaid with tulle or embroidery.

No matter which dress you choose, the perfect dress should flatter your figure and make you shine. The rule here is: start your search early. The delivery time for your dream dress may well be several months.
